A Warm Up Finally!!

The temperature has finally made its way out of the teens and into the 40's. We might even get out for a little bit so Shelby can do some running around, Lord knows she needs to run off some energy:) We had a great weekend. On Sunday we went up to Chillicothe and had breakfast and then we went and did our Wal-mart run. We hung out at home the rest of the day, but just having us all together that one day of the week is great. I am planning my Juice Plus+ booth that is coming up this weekend and I can't wait. I was nervous at first but I know that the person that is coming to help me is the best there is so I'm sure it will be a great experience. Well, Shelby is starting to rub her little eyes so I guess shes thinking a nap is in order. Maybe she'll take a nap that last longer than an hour this time so i might be able to get something done:)

Why do I even make plans????

Todd and I had planned on going to Kansas City last night for a late Valentine's Day evening out. I had hotel reservations, dinner reservations and a full schedule of things we were going to do. My in-laws came to watch Shelby, it was a great plan. Then the s#!t hit the fan. First, Todd says he will be working a little late, then alot late before finally walking through the door at 9:15 p.m. 2 hours after our dinner reservation. By then I knew he would be tired and i hated to ask hime to drive and hour and a half where we would end up wore at our hotel. So as we were going to bed Todd says we might as well go to Kansas City for the day today and so again i was excited. Upon waking we turn on the news and low and behold SNOW!!!!! Lots and lots of stupid snow falling in Kansas City. I have decided to not make any plans because every time i do it sets me up for disappointment. Well, now that I ahve vented I am going to get off of here and watch the stupid snow fall.

Waiting for a warmup

Well we went home this weekend to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday. Todds sister Tina and her husband Brad were there too. We had the traditional Snickers Cake that everyone loves for me to bake for birthdays. It was sooooo good. Shelby got to go horseback riding with her dad and she loved it. The last day that we were there was too cold for her to do anything so hopefully we can find something exciting for her to do while indoors. A two year old is pretty hard to entertain indoors when she is a country girl at heart. It is really cold here today and it feels like I'm back in Wyoming. Hopefully a warmup is coming soon so we can get outside. Until then we'll just keep the fireplace cranked up and the satellite dish paid up:)

Freezing in Missouri

Well, Todd has been home for the last couple of days due to the wet weather. They have sent him home for the rest of the week since they see no warming trend in the next few days. He doesnt mind because he came down with a stomach bug last night so at least he's getting paid to be sick. Thats one upside i guess. Shelby is starting to get cabin fever and has been attacking our poor dog Sam. She must not mind it too much because she doesn't try to avoid Shelby at all. We are going home for the weekend so hopefully some time at Grandma and Grandpas house will get the hellian out of her. It usually just makes her worse, so that's just wishful thinking.
